Waikoloa site adds to eatery list

When Queen’s Marketplace opens for business in fall 2007, the 135,000 square-foot shopping and dining destination — just adjacent to the Kings’ Shops at Waikoloa Beach Resort — will be home to numerous new restaurants, both casual take-out spots and sophisticated dining destinations.

Anchoring Queens’ Marketplace’s variety of eateries is Island Gourmet Market, a 23,000-square-foot emporium offering aisles of gourmet foods and fine wines, including many imported delicacies not currently available on the Big Island.

More of Queens’ Marketplace’s new dining options will include:

c Island Fine Burgers & Drinks — the second Hawaii location will offer gourmet hamburgers, fresh cut fries, specialty beverages tacos, salads, sandwiches and low-carb entrees, all available for dine-in or to-go. Islands Fine Burgers will be located across from Island Gourmet Market.

c Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar — catering to shoppers in search of quality seafood in a relaxed but upscale atmosphere. Sansei specializes in New Wave Sushi and Contemporary Japanese Specialties. It will be across from the Waikoloa Cultural Gardens.

c King’s Kitchen serves up Chinese favorites — from barbecue spareribs, roast duck and egg rolls to chow mein and pork hash. Shoppers can stop by for some fast Chinese take-out in the Food Pavilion.

c Marble Slab Creamery, also in the Food Pavilion, specializes in creamy desserts. It also offers a massive selection of candy, fruit and nut toppings which are hand-mixed with their favorite ice cream flavor.

c Paradise Grill serves up a medley of Mexican and local favorites. Located in the Food Pavilion, shoppers can stop by Paradise Grill for a quick bite on the go, including grilled fish, pork adobo, hamburger steak and kalau pig, as well as Mexican food, pizza, pasta, burgers and salads.

c Charlie’s Thai Cuisine — an upscale Thai food eatery, across the way from Coldwell Banker.

c Queen’s Deli — in the Food Pavilion — offers breakfast entrees and deli-style sandwiches.

c The Noodle House — at the Food Pavilion — serves Asian style noodles, including wo gau gee min, spicy pork, beef ball and saimin.

c Arby’s is known for roast beef sandwiches and fresh curly and cut french fries. Diners can also choose from Arby’s Lite menu which features whole breast and sliced roast chicken sandwiches. It will be located in the Food Pavilion.
